Safeguarding Policies

Safeguarding Officers:

(DSP) Mrs Alison Waller (Deputy Headteacher/Inclusion Leader)

(DDSP) Mrs Alak-Levi (Headteacher), Mrs Tami Gold (Assistant Inclusion Leader)

Our school follows strict procedures with regards to child protection as laid out in ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023’ (please click here) and ‘Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education 2006’.

We have close links with social services and education welfare and work with them to ensure the best levels of welfare for our children.  Any concerns about a child’s well-being are carefully recorded and logged with members of staff with responsibility for child protection.

The Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Board (HSCB) was launched in April 2006 to replace the Area Child Protection Committee. It has a statutory role, with more influence, authority and powers, along with a much wider remit to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children.

A key objective for the HSCB is to support parents and carers to provide a safe and stable family life for children and young people. It also supports organisations like schools to reduce the likelihood of children and young people suffering accidental injury and death, bullying, discrimination, crime and anti-social behaviour.
