Nursery and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

DSC_7522Welcome to the HJPS Nursery. The children in HJPS learn in a secure, warm, caring, inclusive and stimulating environment. We offer excellent resources and facilities and children have access to indoor and outdoor areas mirroring the planned learning objectives of the week. Jewish festivals and themes are integrated into the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

The school offers a private, specialised provision in the morning, with the state-funded HJPS Nursery for 15 hours in the afternoon.  We also offer 30 hours funded hours if eligible.  There will be 35 places for both morning and afternoon sessions.

‘Little Herts’– our private provision, providing a specialised programme of learning, offering cookery, drama/dance, arts and crafts, sport, music, Ivrit as well as outings to the local community.

‘HJPS Nursery’– the afternoon state-funded provision will be the HJPS Nursery following the EYFS outcomes. This gives pupils the opportunity to achieve the objectives in the seven areas of learning through an integrated curriculum of secular and Jewish Studies.
