PhysEd3Sport is featured very highly at HJPS.  Children are taught two hours of high quality PE by Ms Skolnek/Challenge Sport & Education weekly.  The National Curriculum for PE is taught and in Key Stage 1 children learn games, gymnastics and dance.  In Key Stage 2 the children learn games, gymnastics, dance, swimming, outdoor and adventurous activities and athletics.

Children at HJPS take part in various sporting matches and fixtures throughout the year. These are organised and run by Maccabi and the Watford and Hertsmere School Sports Partnership.  Trials for sports teams will take place and Ms Skolnek will notify the players in advance.

Depending on the time of year and demand, HJPS offer various sporting after school clubs.  These clubs include netball, football, karate, gymnastics, Israeli dancing, and tennis.  Please click here to see all the clubs on offer for our pupils.

HJPS are very fortunate to have received a Change4Life sports bag donated by the Watford and Hertsmere School Sports Partnership. The PE bag will be supervised by the Year 6 sports leaders and sports crew leaders during lunchtimes, to increase physical levels for all children.  HJPS will receive a new bag containing different equipment for different sports each term. Below are the five bags HJPS will receive.  They are:

Target – Golf, Bowls, Goalball, Boccia
Adventure – Orienteering, Outdoor Education
Creative – Jump Rope, Cheerleading, Exercise and Movement
