Pupil Premium

library_booksPupil Premium Impact – July 2016

In July 2016 there were two children in Year 2 who were in receipt of the pupil premium funding; both made good levels of progress in maths and reading.  One child made the minimum sufficient levels of progress in writing whilst the other made good progress.

There were six children in Year 6 who were in receipt of the pupil premium funding. Of these none were working below age related expectations in reading, writing or maths and whilst all exceeded the minimum sufficient levels of progress, more than 50% made very strong progress across these areas.

The pupil premium grant has been used to enrich the curriculum with music lessons and to fund provision of weekly 1:1 support from a qualified teacher.  When funding was spent on extra-curricular activities, e.g. music lessons, the school found that the provision enabled the children to develop their social skills, confidence and self-esteem.
